the one named Walter Jackson shipped on board a vessel for. Shanghae and was there arrested at the instance of this Government. He was not detained long, however, as the intention of proceeding with the prosecution was then abandoned.

I have now, however received a Notification from Her Majesty's Secretary of State informing me that the prosecution will be carried on and accordingly having obtained intelligence of the
